Tricia (she/her) is a program manager with the California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA) specializing in water quality issues such as bacteria and biological integrity of California waters. Tricia previously held roles with the State of California working at the intersection of science, policy, and community engagement to support sustainable management of California’s water. An environmental scientist by training, she is committed to developing creative, multi-beneficial solutions to complex resource management challenges.
Tricia leads strategic science planning efforts with work spanning harmful algal blooms, shellfish growing areas, bacteria, and constituents of emerging concern with a strong emphasis on translating science into decision-relevant information. She also has a strong background in facilitating community-oriented solutions through collaborations with community-based organizations, Tribes, farmers, and agency partners. She holds an M.S. in Marine Biology from San Francisco State University and a B.S. in Plant Biology and Global Sustainability from UC Irvine.
